With over 19 years of varied fabrication experience, including advanced MIG/TIG welding skills, I bring a broad skillset to any new opportunity.  I have worked with a variety of materials such as wood, glass and metals, but I am most proficient with aluminum fabrication and the various techniques used to create custom off-road and desert racing cars.  I have gained invaluable experience with glass during my time at Select Glass.  My most ambitious project to date, managing the build of my current employer’s custom home, brought together wood, glass, and metalworking projects with a focus on artistry and design

Owning my own fabrication business for 10 years definitely honed my technical abilities and required me to learn a variety of skills so that I could meet the wide-ranging requests of my clientele.  However, it also developed my artistic talents.  It required me to thoroughly understand my customer’s wants and needs, and see the vision of what they desired to accomplish.  As I built up my business and became a well-known name in the industry, I was entrusted with increasingly more artistic freedom.

During this time of business ownership I also learned the value of big picture thinking.  Efficient materials management, sound pricing negotiation, fostering good vendor relationships, and producing consistent high-quality products on a tight deadline are the things that made my business successful.  In recent years I have moved to a team environment and truly value the collaborative nature of working on a team.  I will never be able to put aside my desire to take initiative, get the job done, see outside the box and think holistically about a project, but I truly enjoy being someone others can lean on and learn from.
